Any experience with disk lock breaks in particular. However the simplicity and effectiveness disk lock breaks seems like it would make an effective deterrent. Now I know if someone really wants to steal something, they will. Now I've been doing some research into disk lock breaks with the built in alarms. Some helpful tips I've seen are leave it out of sight from the street, yet plain view, put it under a cover, and get a chain or whatever. ![]() I've read and seen way too many horror stories. Anything in the 7mm to 10mm range should be sufficient at properly securing your bike. So let's assume I won't have one for a bit by the time I get my bike. Look for alarms with a space between the lock walls and the disc that allow enough room for the alarm to be closed, but not enough room for someone to use a tool. I understand leaving it in a garage is the best option whenever possible, but there are so few at my complex and everyone and their mothers seem to want them as soon as they open up. ![]() I'm looking to get back into riding, but I have some concerns about security.
